Renaissance Tavern/Hunting Lodge for a day of exciting martial and
educational activities and an evening of games and a tavern style
feast, including a whole roast pig!

Martial Activities: In keeping
with the boar hunt theme we will have team combat between the
“boar” team and the “hunters” team for both heavy and rapier
combat. Boar hunt archery scenarios for adult and youth
shoots will take place on the archery field, as well as the
throwing of weapons at wily pigs. Prizes for all martial
activities!
In addition, the Champions of
Dragon’s Mist will be chosen in Heavy, Archery and Thrown
Weapons
Classes: German Renaissance
Costume, Early Firearm Demonstration, German Apron Construction,
Coursing & Falconry and Rabbit Husbandry
Food: A lunch of soup and bread
will be provided at noon. A served tavern style feast will begin at
7pm. Menu options for vegans, gluten intolerant and meat
eaters will be included in the menu. If you have questions about
the menu or food allergies please contact the feast steward in
advance. No unplanned allergy accommodations can be made on
the day of the event.
Games: A Gluckhaus
tournament will take place during the feast. The prize will be a
gluckhaus board to take home. Other board and card games are
welcome. The barony’s game collection will be at our
disposal, but feel free to bring your favorite.
If you would like to help with
the decorating, martial activities, pig roasting, assist in the
kitchen or help as a tavern server please contact the Event
Steward. There will be a special prize for
volunteers!
