This is a Level 2: Branch Event where no Kingdom or Principality business is expected to be conducted event.

Good gentles all! Lend ye to the call of your Baron! Long do the nights begin to grow as summer gives way to autumn’s cold. Join us for the final camping event of the season at Baron’s Ball! Defend the honor of your Baron and Barony in war! If war isn’t your thing, compete to become Wastekeep’s next Arts and Sciences champion or Bardic champion. Have a twisted mind and way with words? Compete for the honor of becoming Wastekeep’s next Defenistrator!

Youth! Our Baron calls for your aid as well! Test your creativity in the annual Veggie Creature Creation Competition. Show off your prowess in Youth Armored Combat and Youth Armored Rapier competitions!

The hospitality shown in the SCA is what makes our game feel like home. To encourage this hospitality, Elena Costello De Hispania has so graciously planned a competition for you all:

1. Pick a theme (time period, place), display your theme on a sign at the entrance of your encampment

2. There will be secret judges that will go in to your encampment throughout the day before court on Saturday and will award you points based on these criteria:

*How on theme the encampment is.

*How engaging the encampment is with sharing the space.

*does the encampment share facts about the theme and explain how the food and drink fit the theme

*is there entertainment in the encampment and how on theme is the entertainment

The secret judges will award up to 5 points for each category and will award 1 extra point outside of the scoring system to the one encampment that is their favorite.

Prizes will be awarded in court!
