As the winds begin to blow North and the sun sets lower in the sky, so do changes come to the Fair Barony of Lions Gate.

Baroness’ Inspiration 2018 is celebrating the step-down of the Beautiful Baroness Caitrina & Benevolent Baron Uilliam.

We shall also be celebrating the incoming Baroness: Dame Arianna and Baron Master Cyneric.

Come celebrate with us the fond memories and the exciting future that speak to both of these honorable couples.

The theme of this event is Black & Red… make a new outfit, create a new hat, weave a scarf… show off your creativity in honoring the theme!

Site Fee: $20.00 ($5.00 membership discount)

Baroness’ Heavy Tournament:
This tournament is open to any fighter who is not a member of the Order of Chivalry. Each entrant is to bring a prize for the prize table and after the tournament, each entrant will walk away with a prize.

Baroness’ Rapier Tournament:
Open to all rapier fighters. Format will be determined by rapier MiC depending upon number of entrants.

Gerhard’s Riposte Tournament:
Open to any rapier fighter who has been authorized for less than 1 year. Entrants should have a more experienced patron to sponsor them into the tournament.

Youth Armoured Combat Tournament:
Youth armoured combat or YAC, is the youth version of the adult heavy combat program. This tournament determines the Lions Gate Youth Champion!

Games Championship:
Lions Gate Games Champion will be chosen at this event. Bring your ‘game’ face and get in on the fun.

A Super-Six Largesse contest shall be held, with the theme honoring the incoming Baron & Baroness ‘The Future of the Barony’, with entries being donated to the Barony. Please contact Jaqueline Lefleur for more information on this contest: scajaqueline at shaw.ca or PM on Facebook

In honor of the outgoing Baron & Baroness, a single entry A&S/Largesse competition will be held with the theme centered around TE Ulliam & Caitrina. and all entries will be gifted to them as parting gifts.

A heraldry table for consultation shall be available.

A volunteer draw will take place at feast. If you have volunteered for at least 1 hour during this event, your name will go into a draw for fabulous prizes! So sign up soon and get in on the loot.

Lunch will be available on site for a small fee.

A potluck feast complete with Tavern will be enjoyed along with music and dancing! To ensure there is enough food and space, please RSVP to Maminka (jillmarie at telus.net or PM on Facebook) if you are planning to participate in the feast.

Please include an ingredient list with your dish for display on table. Ensure your dish has enough quantity for approx. 6-10 people. Potluck will be based as follows:
Last name (mundane) beginning with and through:

• G-L: side dishes & vegetables
• M-S: Main Dishes
• T-Z: Desserts & or fruit platters

Cold ham & a hearty stew will be provided by the event team.
