Tournament Information

FRIDAY Starting time at Dusk

The Companions of the Shattered Lance humbly invites you to the Fifteenth Annual Autumn War Torchlight Prize Tournament! A martial tourney to celebrate skill-at-arms, chivalry, pageantry and heart!
Bring your weapons and gauntlets and display your chivalric spirit on the Eric Friday night. Armor inspection begins at the first whisper of darkness.

This year’s contest will be open to any weapons style but shields will be limited to 16 inches in any dimension.
We will end the evening with a two-person single-sword relay at the barrier. So make sure you stick around to the end. Rest assured, there will be plenty of fighting for everyone!
The Companions of the Shattered Lance will select The Victor of this tournament whom we believe most fully encompass those virtues of chivalry we aspire to achieve.
To enter the lists your armor needs to be of a high standard and clearly represent the period of your persona. To that end, no visible plastic (basket hilts are fine) or modern materials may be visible. Some other items that are not permitted are, visible tape, stickers on helmets, tennis shoes, and large areas of rust on your armor. This will be strictly enforced this year, if you have any questions about what is acceptable, reach out to Phillip de Mantel (mka JasonPainter).

Youth and Family Activities

Greetings to the Youth of An Tir, This year at Blatha an Oir’s Autumn War we bring to you the first annual youth siege cooking. Do you love to cook, do you love to create things, do you like to cheer your parents on while they do a siege cooking competition but really wanted to do it yourself? Come and create for the panel of distinguished judges to be announced soon. You will be asked to create an appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert to be judged. You will have 4 hours to create and bring your creations to the judging area. Baskets will need to be picked up at 1pm Saturday August 19th, under the Baronial Pavilion just off the war field, you can return to your camp for proper supervision. Who can participate? We will be doing teams of 3. You can have anyone on your team who is between the ages of 5 to 17 years of age. You will be presented with a basket of ingredients. You can add to your basket the following from home: 1. Spices, this includes Bouillon 2. Cooking Oils ( yes that includes butter) 3. 2 additional vegetables of your choice 4. Milk, Almond Milk, Coconut Milk, Oat Milk, etc. There will be an early sign-up sheet coming in July for the teams to sign up ahead of time. Sign-up is not necessary but encouraged, it will give us an idea of how many baskets we will need. Time & location at Autumn War are to be announced closer to the event.
1 garb entry per person.

There will be 3 winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). Each winner will receive War Points -and- a prize!
This year’s theme is: THE SEA
It’s time to create a stunning outfit that reflects the colors, textures, and feelings associated with the sea.
Get creative – you can make casual garb, finery and regalia, create a sea-themed costume (it must be medieval, of course) or even wear your armor all spiffed up with a sea theme. Let’s see the talent in An Tir and show off your amazing creations while helping your side win the War!
