The Barony of Madrone is excited to welcome the Artisans of An Tir to gather and share their arts works.

Athenaeum is a non-competitive Body of Work event. Exhibitors have the opportunity to display the depth and breadth of their artistic work and receive feedback from Laurels, other artisans, and members of the general populace. Our hope is to provide a relaxed, supportive, and inspiring environment where artisans who work in diverse mediums can gather and geek out together.

We have decided to make changes to the application process for Athenaeum this year. Ten (10) of the fifty (50) available tables are being reserved for artisans who have NOT displayed at Athenaeum previously. The remaining forty (40) tables will be assigned via lottery. This allows us to have the application available for a longer period of time which will give more artisans an opportunity to potentially participate.

The deadline to apply is April 20th.

Athenaeum isn’t only for those that want to display. If you are a fan of the arts we encourage you to attend and see all of the wonderful projects happening throughout An Tir and engage with the artists. The pre-registration form will be available on May 1st. Until then if you have any questions please contact the event steward.

Event Schedule – PRELIMINARY

8:00 am  – Site opens for Exhibitors 

8:30 am – Site opens for general attendees

9:00 to 10:00 am – Morning Court

10:30 am – Laurel chats

11:00 am – Group A at liberty; Group B Laurel chats

11:30 am – Group B at liberty; Group A Laurel chats

Noon – All Exhibitors available to wander or for non-scheduled chats

12:30 to 1:30 pm – Lunch

2:00 pm – All Exhibitors available to wander or for non-scheduled chats

2:30 pm – Group A at liberty; Group B Laurel chats

3:00 pm – Group B at liberty; Group A Laurel chats

3:30 to 4:00 pm – All Exhibitors available to wander or for non-scheduled chats

4:00 pm – Exhibitors break down displays; Set-up for Afternoon Court

5:00 to 7:30 pm – Afternoon Court 

8:00 pm – Site closes

Site fee is $30 ($10 membership discount). Youth and children under the age of 18 attend the event for free.

We are planning to offer a pre-ordered box lunch option. More information about this will be available by May 1st.
