Join Their Alpine Highnesses as they choose their Bardic Champion and Alpine Scholar.

Alpine Festival of the Arts is fast approaching! I hope to see many of you in Coos Bay February 13 – 15th to witness the talent and skill of Summits on full display as we seek our next Alpine Scholar (Arts and Sciences Champion) and Summits Bard, as well as admire the works of all those who wish to display or perform without competing.

Everyone planning to enter the Alpine Scholar Arts and Sciences competition, do a single entry for feedback, or display at the event alongside the competition MUST complete the survey linked below by Sunday February 1st!

Link to survey: https://forms.gle/Z1vpwYoE4pxqbtPW7

Please fill out the survey as soon as possible so we can find judges, draw up a map, and build a schedule that works for everyone.

To enter the Alpine Scholar Arts and Sciences competition you must prepare:

 Two entries of a historical nature to be evaluated by judges using a modified version of the An Tir Kingdom A&S rubrics

 Documentation for both entries, due Sunday February 8th for judges to review before the competition

 A class to be taught at the event OR another form of teaching (video, written instructions, etc.) that must be openly available to those attending the event

More detailed information on the expectations, requirements, format, and helpful resources can be found by following this link to Alpine Scholar Competition Information: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1u0O1F6gS0AOVbIhBHcLnV_dsIZsblY2v?usp=sharing

Your event team would like to make sure you have everything you need to have a successful event, so please reach out if you have questions!

A word (or several, really) from the Principality Bardic Deputy:
Hear ye, hear ye! Comes now the time for the passing of the bardic inspiration – the competition for Bard of the Summits is nigh! Verily, competitors should bring a period piece with documentation, prepare to compose a work on site, and bring a showstopping final. Being that the competition is six weeks hence at Alpine Festival of the Arts upon February 14th, LOI’s are due by Feb 1st and Documentation shall be due the next week, February 8th to allow judges adequate time to review the entries.

LOI: Feb 1
DOCS: Feb 8
AFoTA: Feb 14th

Send all LOI and materials to:
