Harken that fell cry upon the wind? Once again the drums of war echo from the valleys of Artemisia. They covet the fertile plains, the magnificent lakes and lush forests of An Tir – they seek a stronghold from which to strike – but they shall be denied!
Gather warriors! Gather Bards! Gather Artists! Gather all good people of An Tir!
Join the call of Wealdsmere to raise great War Bands and march in defense of our Eastern Borders, to drive away enemies and make merry with those seeking respite in the shade of tall pines, beside cool waters, safely away from bandits and ruffians who roam the wild lands – and the monster that dwells in the depths.
We shall break bread in fellowship after a day of breaking bones in war.
We shall gather round the evening fires and share tales of great deeds done dirt cheap.
There will be war. All the war your barbarian little hearts can handle.
Retreat is not an option as Paddler, the Lake Monster of Pend Oreille, has ventured south into Lake Coeur d’Alene and cut off that route of retreat – so it is victory or monster kibble.
Camp Easton will host us once again on the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur D’Alene.
War points will be awarded for all activities which include, but are not limited to: Heavy fighting, rapier fighting, Arts and Sciences competition, Bardic, volunteer opportunities and water bearing, youth activities, and classes.

Rapier Schedule For Border War
MiC Master Wilhelus le Casse, OP, OWS
1000 armor inspection at the auditorium/stage area
1030 scenarios begin. DFB in all scenarios, RBGs as noted
2 warm up rounds of everybody vs everybody
3 rounds of side vs side, best 2 of 3 wins
Scenarios:
Paddler Attacks: Winners of the open field get to choose which side they start on. One team is the paddler, all fighters are tentacles and are armed with single sword, except for the Team Leader who is the Paddler’s heart and they can be armed as they choose. The Heart must stay in the middle of the stage. When a tentacle is killed it must retreat to the furthest point on the stage, slow count to five and then may rez and reenter the fight. Unlimited rez for the tentacles. The second team starts in front of the stage, are armed as they choose, and may use RBGs. They are allowed only one rez, must go back to their starting point but can rez immediately. The Paddler wins if it kills all of the attackers. The attackers win if they kill the heart. Teams will switch sides and fight again until one team wins twice.
It’s all uphill from here. Fighters start at the bottom of the rows of seats. Fighters may be armed as they choose, but no RBGs. Two fighters start, winner moves up a row. The loser stays and a new fighter enters. Winner moves up a row and the 2 fighters on that row fight. Winner of that fight moves up another row, and so on. When a fighter wins their row and moves up, they may attack one or both fighters on the next row and are free to form a temporary alliance with one against the other, but when there are only two fighters on the row they must fight each other. If a fighter remains on the top row for more than 2 minutes, then they score a point and must return to the bottom row and begin again. Scenario will last for 30 minutes and the fighter with the most points wins for their side.
10 minute water break
Monsters in the Woods: Any members of the OD, DWS, or anyone who has been a Champion whether current or in the past will play the role of the monsters. They may be armed as they choose and may have a single shot RBG. The hunters may form teams of two or may hunt solo, they may be armed as they choose and may also have a single shot RBG. Hunters may return to the start point when they die and then res. Monsters must report to the MIC when they die and then they can rez. Scenario will last for 30 minutes. Winner is whichever side kills the most monsters.
Battle the Cerberus: No RBGs in this scenario Three fighters, preferably ODs or Champions will be roped together and may be armed as they choose. Attacking fighters may be armed as they choose. First round is single fighter against the beast. Second round is two fighters, and third round is three fighters. If necessary, the fighters playing the beast may be switched out if fatigue becomes an issue. Scenario will last for 30 minutes. The side that defeats the beast the most times wins the scenario.
If there is enough time and energy remaining, there will be side versus side battles in the woods. The side to win the most times wins the scenario.
Fighting ends at 3PM. If there are enough participants and interest Cut and Thrust will take place in the woods for 1 hour. Rapier pick ups will be allowed in the open area for the same time frame.
All fighting ends at 4PM.
