“Who spreads light in the gathering on the hills?
Who can tell the ages of the moon?
Who can tell the place where the sun rests?”
Come poets, come artists, come bards, and come makers! Come those who seek beauty and structure and song! Hear Amergain’s song from beyond the ninth green wave and join us in Adiantum for Amergain’s Revenge, a full day of arts, sciences, and bardic! Held at the Armory in Cottage Grove (628 E Washington Ave, Cottage Grove, OR 97424), there will be held our barony’s A&S and Bardic championships! $15 for members and $25 for non-members, and those under 18 are free!  The day will also include a pottage day board for brunch as well as a fantastic supper feast as we celebrate “A Taste of Adiantum” with foods of our fine community. There will be morning and evening courts (including two elevations to the Order of the Mark), classes, and prizes. Come celebrate the fine workmanship and song-crafting as well as the camaraderie of the community.

Bards and Performing Artists all! Stretch your muscles, warm up your voices, and tune up your instruments for Amergin’s! Our dream and goal for this event is to provide a multitude of opportunities for performers of all ages and skill levels to share their talents with our adoring populace! Below are our prize categories that you can sign up for ahead of time (email growwildmychild@gmail.com or FB message Katie Kelm {Muirenn}) as well as at the event. But remember, we hope to have  time for those who do not wish to compete as well during the feast and any free time. Every person who performs is eligible to choose an item from Amergin’s Chest of Treasures. You can sign up multiple times, but only once per hour block. This may also need to be on a first come-first served basis, so please consider signing up early!

A&S Championship:

“Something Old, Something New.”
Each competitor is asked to present:
~One entry in an art or science in which you are confident and experienced — something well-worn in your hands, tried and tested, beloved and honed.
~One entry in an art or science you’ve never before entered into competition — something exploratory, new to your hands, or representing a skill just beginning to bloom.
Each entry will receive its own presentation time as well as dedicated one-on-one time with our judges, allowing for deeper conversation and thoughtful exploration of your work.
In judging, particular attention will be paid to: The trials and challenges faced in both disciplines, how you overcame (or learned from) those obstacles, and your plans (or lack thereof!) to continue pursuing each art into the future. Did you fall in love with the new skill? Did an old favorite surprise you with new frustrations? We want to hear it all.  Come prepared to share not just your creations, but your journey — the story of how you got here, and where your feet might wander next.
Bardic Championship:
Bring your best Song, Story, or Poem. When choosing your performance piece, take inspiration from the your wonderful barony. If you can, choose something inspired by Adiantum, written by Adiantum, or loved by Adiantum.
