Kingdom Chatelaine Position is Now Open for Applications
The office of the Kingdom Chatelaine is now accepting applications for the position.
The Kingdom Chatelaine is the officer responsible for introducing new or prospective members to the Current Middle Ages, for training, advising and coordinating public outreach, newcomer acquisition and retention for the Kingdom of An Tir.
Duties include:
- Coordinating and monitoring the efforts of branch chatelaines within the Kingdom
- Developing and maintaining materials for recruitment, newcomer orientation and retention within the conventions of the Society
- Coordinating local officer training and monitoring reporting
- Maintaining a knowledge base for SCA demos, and assisting branches with questions
This position presents the opportunity to help preserve the rich traditions of the Society and the Kingdom and assure its future by assisting with recruiting and retaining of newcomers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help introduce people to this game and will have a long-term positive impact on participants throughout the Kingdom.
The successful candidate will be working with the outgoing Chatelaine in preparation for taking the position at 12th Night 2026.
Having held a Chatelaine position, while not required, is preferred.
