Ancient Arts Academy invites you to step back in time for a full day of immersive, hands-on workshops in the arts and sciences of the past. Learn the skill and discipline of medieval martial arts, explore the textures and techniques of historic fibre crafts, shape metal with traditional methods, and discover the refined rules of courtly etiquette. Whether you come to forge, weave, spar, or learn, each class offers both practical instruction and fascinating historical context. Join us for a day of making, doing, and experiencing the knowledge and craftsmanship that shaped the medieval world.

Meal Information

Enhanced potluck dinner: several succulent mains will be provided and participants are asked to bring something to share. There are no kitchen facilities, but we do have the ability to keep food warm in crockpots.  Please bring your own crockpot, if required (email event steward if this is an issue).

Please remember to bring your own feast gear.

Tournament Information

The Barony of Seagirt’s Arts and Sciences Championship will be as follows:
The format will be 1 finished object and 1 paper. The paper can be your documentation for the object or it can be something else entirely.
The theme is What Brings You Joy? In other words, why do you love underwater basket weaving so much that you grew the reeds and dye yourself in addition to learning to hold your breath for that long?
Competitors please submit your intent to compete, object type, and paper topic to Seagirt.Baron@tirrigh.org, Seagirt.Baroness@tirrigh.org, and bandersondowd@gmail.com no later than September 14th (aka end of Fall Fair).
