Feast and be merry at cozy Briaroak Birl. The Chevalier competition that brought everyone to snorts of good cheer last year will be making a come back. The Shire will also be hosting Defender Tournaments for Bardic, Arts & Sciences, and Armored combat.

*Adult SCA Members will receive a $10 member discount off the cost listed above.

** Youth and Children must either be accompanied by parent/guardian or you may bring any minor that is not your own, but their parent or guardian must complete both of the SCA Inc. required forms prior to your arrival.

Briaroak Feast Announcement

A feast to be had, that will fill you surely.
And nothing of it will make you surly.
After long battles of chivalry fought,
A hearty meal shall be brought,
Of meat and potatoes, hearty and savory,
And of vegetables delightful and tasty.

We are thrilled to share the following feast with our fellow SCA Cousins. (The Ingredients for the stews are at the end.) We will also have a Dessert Potluck!

A&S isn’t always about over the top perfection. It’s also about trying, learning, and expanding knowledge.

It’s a NEW year; show of something NEW.

  • Would you like to share it?
  • Did you try something NEW and learned something others might prosper from?

If you said yes to any of those then bring it to Birl and enter the NEW Year – NEW to You A&S competition.

Armored Defender Tournament

Tournament will be a bring your best round robin. 2/3 unless there are more than 10 participants. Finals will be 3/5 with the first two rounds being any form but sword and board.
