Archery Events:

Saturday Archery Activities at Baron’s Ball
Questions?  Contact your TAM MIC HL Rashida bint Yusuf (alkoppel -at- gmail -dot- com)
Archery Target Marshal Class (starts 30 min after Saturday morning court, lasts 1 hr plus practical time):
Would you like to be a Junior Archery Marshal?  Are you a Junior who’s ready for promotion to Senior?  I’ve got you covered!  This class will dig into range set-up, weapon standards, running Royal Rounds, and general range procedures.  Stick around after class for required practical experience setting up our range, and all participants who are working on authorization will need to sign up for a 20 min shift calling the range while supervised.
No limit on class size and it’s free.
Royal Rounds:
Rashida will have the range set up for archers to shoot Royal Rounds on Saturday.  Get those scores in before the current season ends on Halloween!
COLOR BLOCK PRIZE SHOOT:
Have you heard about Rashida’s prize shoots?  They’re appropriate for all ages and skill levels and rely on a mix of skills and luck.  At this fun shoot at 20 yards, target color scoring will be subject to the whims of my dice bag.  Come win a surprise prize and some bragging rights.
(1 hr long, but subject to the number of participants)

Art’s & Sciences Activities:

Championship details –  Bring your creations, they may be pieces in progress, (documentation earns you extra interest from the judges) and show off your skill and knowledge.

Bardic championship is also up for grabs. Dust off those voices for story or song, or instruments to charm the masses. Whatever your talent, we are looking forward to being entertained.
Other A&S Activities:
“Hide that Ugly Mundane Thing”.
You want or need that modern convenience at events, but tired of it showing up in your photos or distracting from the ambiance you have spent so much time creating?
Now is the time to show off your creativity in how you have disguised a modern item so that it blends into your camp or persona unseen.
Bring your item to Baron’s Ball and enter it into our Hide that Ugly Mundane Thing contest. Before and after photos are great, if you have them. You can win prizes and give other fine gentles ideas.
“Make the Modern Medieval”  Turn back time, transform a modern item into your medieval ensemble, camp decor or table ambiance. Or show how you use a modern item for a medieval need.
Enter this contest at Baron’s Ball by bringing a modern item that you have remade into something “medievalish”!
Before pictures of the item would be amazing, but not required, and a short note of how you were inspired to recreate or reuse the item.

“Siege Cooking”

A culinary tradition is being revived!  As a tribute to the late Mistress Marcia, there will be a siege cooking contest at Barons Ball!  The prize will be a forged ladle big enough for the best soup pot!!
Contestants will receive a collection of ingredients to utilize. They may bring spices and salt (if they are wealthy enough), and one extra ingredient to be declared upon entering the contest.
Registration and ingredient collection will be 10:30am on Saturday and the entries must be received by 1:00pm for judging at 1:15pm.
You will need your own equipment/cooking source/serving supplies.

We’re bringing back an oldie. We’ll be doing a Rose tournament on Saturday. You will need to have an inspiration to fight for!
