The Delightful Duo Largesse Contest is coming to May Crown 2024!
When: Saturday March 2
Where: TBD
Time: TBD
Overview: Each entrant is asked to contribute two nearly identical handmade items which would not normally be donated as largesse due to cost, complexity, or time commitment. One of the two items will be kept by the Crown for gifting to fellow royals or to be used as prizes for other kingdom level contests, the second of the two items will be taken home by one of the other entrants as a prize. This means everyone who enters will go home with something fabulous! Each duo will be put on display Saturday and voted on by the populace during the day, granting the winner first choice of one of the other entries to take home. The order by which the rest of the entrants choose their prize item will be based on a blind drawing of names.
ENTRANTS:
~ While it is not required that you declare your intention to enter ahead of time, it’s quite helpful to us if you do so that we can plan accordingly for set-up. *It will also allow me to reach out directly with contest details as they become available or change.* Please Facebook Message Sibylla de Waryn or email kingdom.largesse@antir.org when you’ve decided.
~ Entries should include 2 CARDS (if hand written, please make sure they are legible)
with the following information:
•Entrant SCA name
•Home branch
•Point of contact (email or fb name if different from SCA name)
•A brief description of the item(s) being entered.

Tournament Information

Crown Tournament details:

An Tir, Ulfgar and Juahara send joyous Greetings.  We hope this missive finds you rested and ready for the many gatherings to come.

We wish to share Our fighting format for the upcoming May Crown to choose Our Successors to the Lions Throne.

May Crown will be a Double Elimination Tournament, with each round consisting of a best of 3, and the Finals will be best 3 of 5.  All Society approved tournament weapons and shield variations allowed.

A variable that will be included if necessary is concerning the weather/temperature.

If the forecast for the Tournament is 80F or greater, We would change the format(for the health and safety of all) to a Single Elimination Tournament, each round still best of 3, with the Finals best 3 of 5.

We wish all who would compete a safe and wonderous day. We can’t wait to witness the Glory of the Tournament, and greet Your new Heirs of An Tir.

YIS

Ulfgar Thorvaldsson King, An Tir

Juahara al Azin Queen, An Tir

PRE-REG for FIGHTING:

Kingdom Events Martial Preregistration. (Was Crown Lists Pre-Reg)
We’re changing the process for Fighting pre-reg a little this year. Instead of using different forms to register for Crown, Squires, Provosts and Cut and Thrust fighting at May Crown, July Coronation and September Crown, this year we’re trying one combined form.
You can also return and edit your data in the form through out the summer as necessary!
Registration for May Crown will close on Tuesday May 14th at 11:59 pm.
THIS IS NOT EVENT PRE-REG, this is just the fighting pre-reg.
