This is a Level 1: Coronet Event (Principality Coronet Tournaments and Investitures) event.

Summits Spring Coronet will be home to the Principality Coronet tournament where Their Highness’ will determine their heirs. The event will feature a Friday night social/ball, Saturday meetings, coronet tournament, C&T championship tournament, provost tournament, A&S displays and bardic circle (outside). We will also offer a simple $5 bagged lunch for Saturday (pre-reg only). Sunday we will have Principality Moot and tear down. Site is a dry site with designated smoking areas elsewhere and pets are not allowed. Site does not have on-site camping/bunking so guests will need to find lodging nearby.

 

Friday evening of Spring Coronet Glyn Dwfn will be hosting an open bardic AND dessert and coffee/tea social! Please bring a dessert if you can, we will have coffee and tea supplies. We will also have our bardic books. We’re excited to have you!

 

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Registration Information

We have secured a group rate at the local La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Central Point.
The hotel is located at: 1777 Larue Drive, Central Point, OR, 97502. It is very close to the event site

The available rooms are single kings for $99/ night or double queens for $107/night before tax.
After you have reserved your room, please request from the person on the phone your individual confirmation number! You may still get a confirmation email with a whole bunch of other rooms – this is how their system works (for better or worse) but you can be assured that no one is going to sign you up for 25 rooms! Please also note that normal occupancy rules apply – if someone tells you you can only have 1 adult in either of the room types, they are wrong.

Tournament Information

We are pleased to announce the format for Our Coronet Tournament in March so that you can prepare for the Lists. The following format is to be followed:
Tournament will be standard Double Elimination.
Authorizations must be sought prior to the day of the event, please come prepared for the Lists.
Standard lineup and unbelts challenge for Round 1. Remaining rounds will be “Bring your Best” except for the third round.
Third Round will be fought buckler and a single weapon. Buckler to be 15” maximum diameter or equivalent area if alternate shape used. No Madu/stick style, must clearly be a shield, strapped or held. Bucklers will be available. Weapon can be anything under 48” long.
Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals format will be best of 3.
A reminder: Authorizations will not be issued on the day. Please come prepared.
It is Our preference that personal banners and heraldry are carried during the processional and displayed in visual range of the fighting eric during the tournament. This is not a requirement of entrance but encouraged to promote beauty and gravatas for the tournament.
Additionally:
We are adhering to Summits laws which state that Fighters must live within the current (02/01/2023) bounds of the Summits for 1 year before the tournament. Inspiration can live outside our borders. However, If the Inspiration lives outside our borders, a letter of intent must be submitted at least a month before the day of the tournament. Private conversations will be had with any pair asking for this consideration. We maintain the right to grant or deny as we feel best serves the populace of the Summits. Letters of intent must be submitted to Summitscoronet@antir.org by 2/18/2023.
