Directions:
Blaine Memorial Campground is located at 3880 Kettle Valley Road South, Rock Creek, BC.
From the West – make your way to Hope, BC and take Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway) to Rock Creek, BC. Turn left at Highway 33 across from the Husky. Immediately after the Prospector Pub, take a right on Kettle Valley South Road, cross the bridge, and take your first right which is also Kettle Valley South Road. A little less than three kilometers later, the site will be found on your right.
From the Okanagan and points north, make your best way to Kelowna, BC and take Highway 33 southeast to Rock Creek, BC. Immediately before the Prospector Pub, take a left on Kettle Valley South Road, cross the bridge, and take your first right which is also Kettle Valley South Road. A little less than three kilometers later, the site will be found on your right.
Everyone East of Rock Creek, make your way to Rock Creek, but don’t go all the way into Rock Creek. Better to take a right onto Kettle Valley South Road just after the red two-bay firehall. The site is a few kilometers down the road. Bear left.
The nearear US Border crossings are at Oroville/Osoyoos (US Highway 97; open 24 hours) and Ferry/Midway (US Highway 395; open 9am-5pm). from Midway, travel west on Highway 3 to Rock Creek; from Osoyoos, travel east on Highway 3.
There will be SCA signs in Rock Creek.
Rock Creek, BC and area modern amenities:
Rock Creek is a small community around 5.5 hours drive from Vancouver, BC (traffic depending). It is located on Highway 3, the Crowsnest Highway, around a 45 minute drive east from Osoyoos, BC. Yes, kilometers are for chumps.
Rock Creek has two gas stations. The Petrocan has a small grocery store incorporated with an on-site deli that makes incredible sandwiches. There is a seasonal coffee/ice cream shop and two restaurants – the Prospector Pub and the Restaurant at the Kettle Valley Golf Club a short drive away.
From the Lower Mainland, Osoyoos BC is a good place to get groceries and fast food on the way to site. There are additional, closer grocery options at Midway, BC, a ten minute drive from site headed East along Highway 3 at McMynn’s Family Foods. There is a small hotel in Rock Creek (shockingly named the Rock Creek Hotel) as well as Mile Zero Motel in Midway, BC if camping sounds terrible.
