In three months time the people of Lions Gate will gather at the
most historic and hallowed site in the Barony. The Baron and
Baroness call all to come witness the tourneys to see who will
become the next Defenders of Lions Gate. On the fields of Warner
Loat Park heavy fighters, rapier fighters, and archers will vie for
the right to stand behind the Baronial seat and defend it from all
harm.

               
The event will take place at Warner Loat Park, (4250 Piper Ave,
Burnaby BC) on May 10, 2014. Site fee is only $5 (children 12 and
under free), merchants are welcome (no food merchants). There will
of course be the Defenders tourneys for Heavy, Rapier and Archery;
as well there will be an arts and sciences contest and other
activities to be announced later. The arts and sciences contest
will be for best medieval camp item.

 

               
So plan to come to this event and once more walk the grounds that
have seen the choosing of Princes and Kings, heroes named,
Sergentry created, and Baronial couples step down and step
up.

9:30- opening court. Lists open. Armour inspection
begins…
10:00- Heavy Tournament. Archery range open. Entries for A&S
contest.
11:30-Archey Tournament begins.
12:30- Rapier inspections
1:00- Rapier Tournament begins
2:30- A&S judging. Inspections for combat archery.
3:00- Combat Archery Tournament
4:30 closing Court.
