12th Night Winter Coronation XLVIII

January 10th – 12th, 2014

The Barony of Wyewood is proud to host An Tir’s 32nd
Twelfth Night Coronation. Come join us as we attend King Ieuan and
Queen Gwyneth as Their reign comes to a close, ending another
chapter in the history of wise and benevolent monarchs of our land.
Watch as Crown Prince Eirik and Crown Princess Drifinna claim their
Crowns. There will be much rejoicing and merriment as we celebrate
the wintry changing of the monarchs of An Tir, with the
Queen’s Rapier Champion Tournament, contests and many other
activities for all to enjoy!

Event Fees

Adults – $20

Youth (10-17) – $10

Children (9 and under) – Free admittance

Family Cap – $60

Non-Member Surchage of $5 applies

Parking fee: $10/day

**This is paid to the hotel.

Parking fee will be a per day charge.  Please keep in mind
this is a convention hotel very close to Seatac Airport and there
are a great number of parking facilities nearby at a variety of
rates.  Our contracted rate at the hotel is half of their
posted standard rate. Those staying at the Double Tree will receive
a parking ticket at check-in that will allow for in-and-out
accessibility.

Kingdom Rapier Championship:

Pre-registration for entrance into the Queen’s
Rapier Championship is highly recommended as Lists will be open
only from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday, January 11th.

Pre-registration is an easy process – simply email
lists@antir.sca.org with
the following information:

 1. Fighting title (e.g, Don)

2. SCA name
3. Modern name
4. SCA membership number and expiry date
5. If you are a cadet (and to whom)
6. The main rapier fight practices you attend, up to 3
7. Your branch

 Thanks for making Lists job easier, and
hopefully, making it a better event for you – saving everyone some
time and pressure on the day of the Queen’s Rapier
Championship.

 Pre-registration deadline is Wednesday, January
8th.

The Kingdom Rapier Championship will be held in the following
format:

Fields of round robins on 4 erics. Into a sweet XX (XX/4 from
each field).  The number that goes on will be based on when
the tournament starts. It will be at least 8 (top 2 from each
field).

The sweet XX will be a single elimination with each fight being
the best 2 out of 3.  Double kills are destructive, but can’t
end the round (i.e. if the first round is a double, then they each
have a loss, but then another double kill is refought).

The final will be a best of nine with progressive
secondaries:

Zero Losses 1 – Single Sword

First Loss – Sword and Cloak

Second Loss – Sword and Baton

Third Loss – Sword and Buckler

Fourth Loss – Sword and Dagger

Fifth Loss – Loss of the Tournament
