Greetings Ithra enthusiasts!

The Shire of Shittimwoode is pleased to announce the launching of
registration for the Medieval Village Ithra, to be held on September 10-11,
2005 at Goosefoot Mead.

For those of you who were at the event last year, it will be held in the
same location (with hopes for MUCH better weather!) and will have a larger
schedule of great classes–lots of hands-on classes for people who love
dancing, building things, the lives of people and how things were done!

General Information

The University of Ithra provides a place for those interested in Medieval
Arts & Sciences to explore and further their learning. Although SCA
membership is not necessary to participate, participants at Ithra must make
some attempt at pre-17th century costume. Students must agree to obey all
rules and regulations as set forth by the Regents and enforced by the
Provost, faculty and staff.

The Matriculation fee, which covers the cost of the Compendium and
maintaining the records of classes the student attains, is $2.00 and is only
paid the first time the student registers at an Ithra session.

The Registration fee, which covers operating costs, is variable from session
to session depending on the various costs. For this session, the fee is
$7.00. This fee is in addition to the Matriculation Fee. If fees do not
accompany the registration form, you will not be registered. If you
register late and the classes are filled, you will receive a refund.
Supplies are handled by the instructors.

Class fees are set by the instructor based on cost estimates for handouts
and materials and may include travel costs for the instructor. We do not
sell handouts-if you would like to obtain a copy of a handout, speak
directly to the instructor.

Pre-registration is *required*!! No on-site registration will be allowed.

menu. Remember, all payment must be received in order to be fully
registered–simply clicking on the site doesn’t reserve a spot for you!
Registration is on a first-paid, first-reserved basis; no registrations will
be accepted after Wednesday, Sept. 7th!

There will be a feast on Saturday evening on site–the Leaping Weasle Inn
will be hosting the evening’s fare for $5 per person. Payment is expected
in advance so we can calculate who will be coming. Email the proprietor,
