There will be signs posted.
Directions to Hartwood’s Ithra
Whether coming from Vancouver or Victoria, one heads toward
Courtenay, on the Island Highjway. No matter what route is taken,
once past Nanaimo city limits, stay on the highway until reaching
Nanoose Bay. Get into the left lane. Obey the 60 kmh speed limit
signs, both because the area is often patrolled and because you’ll be
turning left.
Continue past the only traffic light (just after the first
bridge), but be ready to turn left at Morello Road – BEFORE crossing
the second bridge. SCA signs will be posted.
If you find yourself going up a long hill, you missed the turn.
If coming from the northern reaches of the Island, head toward
Nanaimo, through Parksville. When going down the long hill, obey the
60 kmh speed signs, because the Morello Road right-hand turn is just
across the first bridge. SCA signs will be posted.
Go a short block down Morello Rd. and turn right onto Alcott Rd.
at the large playing field, where SCA signs will be posted. Go about
100 metres and turn left, into the school property. If cars are
parked in the field, when you arrive, pick your spot there.
Breakfast and Lunch Information
For those who are sleeping at the school, there will be coffee, tea,
juice and hot chocolate, and muffins.
For those who wish a more substantial breakfast, there are nearby
restaurants. Maps will be available at the Registration Desk.
Lunchtime snacks will be available for a small cost for those who do
not bring their own food.
There are places to eat in the area but you may wish to bring a
lunch. There will be coffee, tea and juice available at the school
for a small fee. Please bring a mug.
SHAKESPEARE’S BIRTHDAY FEAST

celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday. The cost will be $10.00 if
purchased before April 20th and $12.00 up to April 26th. It will be
held on site for your convenience. Some highlights include contests,
performances and excellent food!
Contact Gillianne Fayrefax to purchase tickets and for more
information. 250-245-7227
