Seagirt Summer Tourney, August 24-26, 2001 Barony of Seagirt,
Victoria, BC To all gentles one and all does the illustrious
Barony of Seagirt extend and invite one and all to vie for
the titles of the Champions of Seagirt. Amongst the trees and
groves of Camp Bernard can the clash of combat and twang of
bowstrings be heard as the Champions watch to see who their
successors will be. There will be children’s activities with
a pied piper and blue helm tourney. The site is Camp Bernard
Boy Scout Camp, Sooke, BC; Open from Friday 3pm to Sunday
3pm. The site is discreetly damp and there are no pets
permitted. Fires (tiki torches, braziers etc.) will be
dependent on current fire hazard conditions. Please bring
bottled water as the site is on well-water. TROLL FEES:
Weekend $10 Adult, $6 Children 6-12. 5 and under free Day Fee
$6 Adult, $3 Children 6-12. 5 and under free DIRECTIONS:
VICTORIA – Take Hwy #1 north. Take the Colwood exit onto
Sooke Rd. Continue below. SWARTZ BAY TERMINAL – Travel south
on Pat Bay Hwy. Take McKenzie Ave exit to Hwy #1. Turn right
onto Hwy #1. Continue below. UP ISLAND – Travel south on
Island Hwy, After exiting the Malahat take the Colwood Exit.
Stay on Goldstream until your first set of lights. Turn Right
on Jacklin and follow to Sooke Rd. Turn Right onto Sooke Rd.
Continue below. ALL – Follow Sooke Rd to Sooke, BC (40 min).
Turn right onto Otter Point Rd (the ONLY set of lights in
Sooke). Stay on Otter Point Rd for about 5 km. Take right on
Young lake Rd and follow to Camp Bernard (3130 Young Lake
Rd). The SCA is in the Back of the camp. Autocrat (no, really
