Yule – A Winter’s Festival”.
 
Come one and all, to a day of merriment and
wonder.  A terrific feast of warm winter foods will be
offered.  Join your friends cheer, sit and watch the
competition as the Barony elects it’s next Bardic
Champion.  Space will be provide for those who wish to
bring their own projects to finish.  Join in the
various games, and competitions.
 
The Site Fee for members to the SCA will be $
5.00 Adults, $ 3.00 for children ages 6-17.
Non Members Site Fee will be $
10.00.
 
Feast Fee will be $ 5.00 Adults, $ 3.00
children ages 6-17 (under 6 years – will be able to eat for
free).
 
Registrations are opening at Fight Practice
starting September 7th for site and
feast reservations.  Feast reservations will
close November 30, 2010.  We are limited to how many
people we can have in the hall, so please if you would like
to join in the festivities…especially since it will
be her Excellency, or their Excellencies first event –
sign up early.  This way it will ensure your spot in a
day of fun and merriment.

Feast will be 3 different kinds of stews –
beef, chicken and vegetarian. With sides of salads, and
breads with different kinds of spreads.
 
Lunch is being served by Katiana and
Arnora.  This will be for a $ 3.00 donation per
person.  A selection of lunch meats, breads etc. will
be served.
 
ANNUAL BARONIAL BARDIC
COMPETITION
Dragons Laire Bardic
Championship

 (Please see below paragraph for rules for this
competion)

Come join us as we choose our next Baronial Bardic
Champion! All are encouraged to enter and vie for this
wonderful championship and a chance to represent the Barony
of Dragons Laire. Entrants are required to submit a Letter
of Intent to Their Excellencies of Dragon Laire and to the
Baronial A&S minister no later than November 13, 2010.
As with previous years, the format follows Kingdom Bardic
rules and uses those scoring sheets. For more information,

1ST OPEN COMPETITION – OPEN
TO EVERYONE
Deserts – please bring a desert that starts
with your persona’s last name.  If you don’t have a
last name, then the last town/city in your name.  Mine
is Rivendell,  So I need to bring something that
starts with a “R”…or I can make up a desert that has a
“R” as it’s base. The most creative will win a
prize…
 
2nd OPEN COMPETITION – OPEN
TO EVERYONE
Children’s Garb – this is garb that is
considered “everyday” wear, that you or your servants would
have created and designed.
The Costumer’s Guild will Judge, as well as the
Populace.  The Highest Total Points will
win.
 
3rd OPEN COMPETITION – OPEN
TO EVERYONE
This will be your tables Center Piece. 
Theme is ” Yule – A Winter’s Festival”, and will be judged
by the Populace.
 
4th COMPETITION – WILL BE FOR
THE CHILDREN
I am asking the Populace, to please bring
me items that might be used for this…such as paper
rolls, fabrics, trims – practically anything might be
used.  I will then be placing them in paper
bags.  The Children will then create a ” Headpiece”
that they will show off at our closing Court.  There
is no fee, however, the child or children must be
pre-registered for this competition. (this way I know how
many bags I need to make up).
 
Thinking:  Most:  Colorful, Best
Usage of Items, Best Decorated, Unusual etc.  I want
to be sure every child gets a ribbon or
something.
 
RAPIER ACTIVITIES
will be held.
 
Toys, Clothing, and
Food
will be collected on the stage and
then dispersed to those in need.
