CALLING ALL ARCHERS, THROWN WEAPONS PEOPLE,  EQUESTRIANS
AND ALL OTHERS WHO
WOULD HELP US CELEBRATE THE 25TH
YEAR
OF THE OLDEST ARCHERY EVENT OF THE
KINGDOM!!!  YES INDEED, YOU HAVE READ THAT
CORRECTLY!!  THE SILVER ANNIVERSARY!!  Silver will
be the theme for the weekend.

There will be archery competitions for all archers, including
combat
archers!
This will be the premier event for our
Protector competition!  Come and compete to be our
Protector for the next year. We are requesting a letter of
intent turned in to the Autocrat before the competition
begins.

We will still have the regular levels of competitions in
Royal Rounds and York.  Of course the Novelty Shoot to
hunt the “dread purple beast that shall not be named ” will
be again sponsored by the Seneschal.  We must eliminate
this fearsome creature!!!

The finest Thrown Weapons Competitors will be challenging
Throwers of the entire Kingdom to come and fling sharp pointy
things and try for wonderful prizes and much word
fame.

A Russ Run will be held, check the site copy for
time.

Equestrians:
I have heard that we have one of the finest competitions in
the Kingdom, and certainly  we will have some of the
finest prizes!

Ladies:
we will once again have the traditional Memorial Bocce
Tournament. Preceeded by the 2nd Annual Ladies Tea.

Men:
You were so thoughtful and giving last year with “cleaning
up” the leftovers from the ladies tea, that we thought you
should have a “tea” of your own.

Children:
There will be Bocce Tournament for you also. Plus a Dragon
Hunt and other amusements to make this a happy event for
you.

MEN:
We have heard your cries for a Men’s Bocce Tournament and so
we will hold a tournament for you also.

The
Accademia de Studiosi  will have classes to please many
interests.  These will be posted as they are confirmed
with the instructors and registration can be put in
place.

MERCHANTS
ROW:  For your shopping pleasure there will be many
merchants of different specialties.  The Golden Lemon
will be in attendance to provide wonderful lemonade and other
delicacies!

Traveler’s
soup will be available on Friday evening for a suggested
donation of $3. It includes, soup, bread, brownies.

Every
morning there will be coffee, tea, hot chocolate available by
gate. Donations to cover the cost of supplies will be
appreciated.

Gold
Key will be available by Gate.

Please
check back often and our website for updates and
additions.  The Autocrat team will be working diligently
to make this an amazing celebration of our Silver
Anniversary!!

Now
for some of the more unexciting bits of
business:

The
horse stalls were lost in the flood last year, equestrian
people will need to supply a portable stall for their
horses.

Smoking
will only be allowed in the designated area and your own
personal camp using proper disposal.  This is a soccer
field so please do not throw the butts on the ground. Please
be mindful of your neighbors, who may be sensitive or
allergic to smoke!

This
is a dry time of year so fire danger may be very high.
Fires only allowed 18 inches off the ground, please be
careful of sparks. No unattended fires, they will be put
out!!! It is possible that no fires will be allowed if the
danger is too high. No unattended flame torches.

Dogs:
SCA law states that dogs must be contained or on a leash with
a person attached at the other end.  Unfortunately, past
incidences have forced us to now strictly enforce
this.

There
is a lake next to the site, be mindfull of your
children.

If
you are bringing children that are not your own, you
MUST
bring the SCA required forms signed by the parent and a copy
of their driver’s license. The children cannot be at the
event without these forms.

This
is a discreetly wet site, please use period
containers.
