The Shire of Danescombe has come together to offer its
hospitality to our friends from other shires. A number
of our shire members have offered up crash space for those of
you journeying from afar, so there’s no need to worry about
the cost of a hotel for the weekend. The shire is
providing a light lunch at the event, again, free of charge,
so there’s no need to worry about packing your own, or dining
out if you’re visiting. AND, the tournaments will be
followed by a pot luck feast! Again, the shire will be
providing a large “one dish” contribution, to supplement the
contributions of those who won’t have access to kitchen
facilities prior to the event. It promises to be an
excellent event, and a wonderful chance to reconnect with
many friends we haven’t seen in several months – just what we
all need, during the long winter months.
Please contact me if you are in need of crash space, and I
will be happy to put you in touch with one of our generous
shire members. A pot-luck coordinator will also soon be
posted, to aid in directing you if you need suggestions, and
to keep track of the proposed contributions if you know in
advance what you’d like to bring.
