Prince Saif and Princess Alessandra bring a final joyful noise as They culminate Their reign. They invite you to join in the celebration and investing of our new Prince and Princess, Tanist Argyle MacMillan and ban-Tanist Bernadette Ebhilin Ard!! Our First Prince of the Frozen North and exciting return of our beloved Irish Princess.

The festivities of the day lead the way to the tournament to choose Tir Righ’s new Rapier Champion, Scar of Tir Righ.

This is a call out to anyone and everyone. If you are working on something. Or have made something you are proud of. We are wanting to show off the skills and talents of our wonderful principality.
There are no requirements, no judging. Just an opportunity for you to display what you have done. We are rich in talent and we don’t always get an opportunity to share that with each other. Share the things we are passionate about. Get a chance to talk and share ideas without it being a competitionm.
So at investiture there will be tables set up that you can do just that. We encourage you to take this opportunity and let us witness the splendor of Tir Righ.

To take advantage please Caterine Rose d’Evreux to secure your spot (1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 of a table )

Set up: TIME TBA – set up will be on the stage

Tournament Information

Unto the populace of Tir Righ do hear the words of our heirs Ban Tánaiste Bernadette and Tánaiste Argyle.
Below is the tournament format, decided by Ban Tánaiste Bernadette in consultation with the current rapier champion Davin and other prominent rapier fighters in Tir Righ.
First round will be a round robin, then a sweet 8 will be pulled forward to a single elimination round with each fight being best out of 3.
Because Ban Tánaiste Bernadette loves to watch rapier fighting, She wishes the Finals to be best out of 5.
Double kills will be refought only once, then become double elimination.
We, like Our wonderful Highnesses Saif and Alessandra, feel the importance of having an inspiration for the tournament.
As is the tradition which connects back to the original tournament that initiated this great Society, inspiration, honour, and noble prowess will be on full display.
This doesn’t need to be a person of romantic interest, just the ideal that you are bringing forward on the field.
As Our Majesties Athos and Alianora as well as TREs Argyle and Bernadette demonstrate,
this inspiration can take many forms.
A partner, a friend, a family member.
They should represent something that inspires you, be it love, strength, or pure joy.
Please know this is something We are encouraging but is not a requirement.
We don’t want to limit participation in the different events, so if these requirements would provide undo hardship, please communicate with Us.
With regards to anyone competing in the champion’s tournament please be mindful of the oath you will be swearing. It is important to remember that these tournaments carry an oath of responsibility.
As We will swear to reign; anyone entering these tournaments are swearing to carry out the duties of champion as listed below.
1. Duties of All Champions
a. To swear an oath of fealty and service to the Coronet.
b. To defend the honour and prestige of the Coronet and the Principality of Tir Righ, whenever such is challenged and to support the Coronet in war.
c. To attend all Coronet Events. Prior notification to Their Highnesses and Their Heirs must be made if the Champion is unable to attend.
d. To maintain membership in the Society during the Champion’s term of service.
e. To speak or act in the Coronet’s name when delegated to do so.
f. To further the interests of their area of endeavor.
g. To have access to the Northern Sentinel for the duration of their championship, in addition to membership requirements set forth in Kingdom Law and Corpora.
h. To organize the tournament to choose their successor.
TREs Argyle and Bernadette will be paying close attention to how well champions, in all disciplines, do section F above: To further the interests of their area of endeavour.
Huzzah to Tir Righ!!

Youth and Family Activities

YAC at Investiture

Do you feel like it’s time for your children to start pulling their weight? Time for them to take up arms in defense of their longhouse?

At investiture we will be offering YAC to hone their skills at arms. YAC will take place on the main Erics (in between rounds or change to whatever it should be) There will be a small amount of loaner gear if you are missing some stuff. Groin protection is a must bring.

Sir Alden will be there to answer any questions you might have about getting into YAC, please come and say hi.

Volunteering! One good way to earn the admiration and approval of everyone is to volunteer. We’ll need lots of help to have this event run smoothly. My special thing is Gate, where we take everyone’s site fee and help folks get oriented to the site. If you are an SCA member and would like to volunteer, please contact Meresige on Facebook. The shifts for gate are: 8-9am (setup), 9-11am, 11am -1pm, 1-3pm, and 3-5pm. Please note which shift(s) you would like. Thank you!
