Stromgard Yule

It’s Yule Feast Time in
Stromgard!  Please Join Us!

The holiday season is upon us
and the Barony of Stromgard (Vancouver, Washington) invites
all to join us for our Yule Feast,
Saturday, December 7, 2013. 
This event is the Barony’s gift to its members and friends and has
no site fee, we are encouraging all to bring food for the local
food banks instead.   

Site opens at
noon and closes at 9:00
p.m.  Dinner will be at 5.  After dinner
will be a short Baronial Court. 

There will be a voluntary
gift/ornament exchange for those wishing to
participate.  Please keep gifts in the $5 to $10
range and ornaments can be handmade or
purchased. 

There will be heavy fighting and
indoor activities for adults and children include salt ornament
making.

We
will have 4 classes – Anya will teach kumihimo (Japanese cord
making) and furoshiki
(Japanese cloth folding/wrapping) – $5 each, and Khanzara will be
teaching Byzantine necklace making – $5 and Beginning
embroidery – $1.  Times will be posted on
site. 

The Barony will provide roasted
fowl and homemade bread and request that all celebrants joining us
bring a potluck dish of 10 servings per attendee. (Please remember
serving sizes are only about ¼ c per person so this
translates roughly to a large casserole for a family of
4). Please
bring your potluck dish according to modern last name: a-l = Main
dish; m-o = finger foods; p-z desserts.
