Greetings to one and all,

The people of GriffinsGate would like to invite one and all to their Spring Opener tourney. The tourney is in conjunction with their rapier championship. The date for this event is on April 27, 2002. The tourney is a round robin of sorts. The lists open at 10:00 am, with armour inspection at 10:30 am. Tourney should start at 11:00 AM. There will a heavy tourney after the rapier tourney. Any fighters wishing to partake in this tourney are asked to donate any kind of prize for the prize pool. The type of tourney will be decided at the event. Any questions about the heavy tourney, please contact the Master of Stables (info at the bottom). Any smalls that will be attending are welcome to help with the tourney, or try their hand at the games table.

There is more happening after the fighting. The tavern will open for the bardic competition. For this competition, It will be ( to sorta quote a friend) “ Make me laugh, make me cry, make me go… Hmm”. Contestants can tell stories, sing songs, or play an instrument. The pieces can be in period, or not. The lists for bardic will open shortly after the rapier tourney. If it warm enough in the evening, the bardic will be held at the bardic pit.

As well as the bardic, there will be different games for all to play. For more details, feel free to contact the games-o-crat.

There will be veggies and dip for snacking on throughout the day, as well as a bowl of homemade chili and a bun for evening feast for $3.00. For those that would prefer a vegetarian dish, there will be a plate full of a 7-layer dish and a bun for $3.00 as well. For breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, there will be a potluck at Lord Gunthor and his lady, Auacia’s abode. For more information, please contact the feast-o-crat.

Unfortunately there is no real large space for merchants, but any are welcome at the same site fee as all. Speaking of site fees, they are as follows:

· Individual $8.00
· Couple $12
· Children 12 years and younger are free.

This is on a private site, so this will be a bring your own, discreetly wet site. Crash space is available for those in need, please contact any of the people below to have some space reserved. Reservations can be made up until April 21, 2002.
