Join the Barony of Myrgan Wood as we hold our annual Spring
Champions event to decide our rapier and arts and science
champions! A rapier tournament will be held in the afternoon
to decide who our next champion is. The rapier tourney will
be double elimination with a best of three final. Rapier
fighters will be required to present themselves to TEs in a
processional. As fighters are eliminated from the double
elim, they will enter another eric which will host either a
Valhalla style or some other all you can eat steel buffet
format. Arts and science competitions will be taking place
throughout the day. More information on the A & S
competition can be obtained from our current A & S
Champion, Weldon the Gray at ac.wahs@draziwykcaw A heavy
tournament will also being taking place. The heavy tourney
will be less formal and will be either an iron cross, or
valhalla. Archery activities are going on throughout the day
as well as we have a great indoor range available. Royal
rounds for children and adults will also be taking place.
Previous event copies said a outdoor 3D shoot may be
available. Unfortunately due to the weather the outdoor range
will not be set up in time to be in use. Schedules for
tournaments: 9:00am – archery lists open 10:00am – archery
tournament begins, A & S set up begins 10:30am – heavy
lists open 11:30am – heavy tournament begins 12:00pm – rapier
lists open, A & S competition begins 12:30pm – adult
royal rounds start 1:30pm – rapier tourney starts 2:30pm –
children’s archery tourney and royal rounds begin We also
have an amazing feast planned this year cooked by Dale
Jessome (some of you might remember Dale from Feast of the
Roses). Dale is a professional chef at STM College here in
Myrgan Wood and his feasts are amazing. To reserve e-mail the

BY APRIL 10 The menu is as follows: 1st Remove ~Fresh butter
rolls~ ~Fireweed honey butter~ ~Red currant butter~ ~Lavender
butter~ 2nd Remove ~Salad of bitter greens with caramelized
pears, sweet and spicy pecans, crumbled Stilton, Port
vinaigrette and balsamic glaze~ 3rd Remove ~Cream of triple
“new potato” and applewood smoked bacon garnished
with crispy vidalia onions, and fennel oil~ 4th Remove
~Drunken sun-dried spring fruit and sourdough stuffed pork
loin with Cassis and shiraz glace di viande~ ~Wild rice and
roast root vegetable pilaf~ ~Seasonal vegetables~ 5th Remove
~Gateaux marjolaine~ ~White chocolate sauce~ Sounds

This event takes place April 22, 2006. Site opens at 9:00am
and closes at 11:30pm. Day time activities are being held at
the Dundurn Military Base at Dundurn, SK. Feast and evening
activities are being held at Dundurn Community Hall located
at 214 3rd St, Dundurn, SK. Directions: Take highway 11#
south out of Saskatoon. Go approximately 35km. Make a right
turn after the Warman Pro Hardware Center. Drive on this
road, take the second right on to the base. Take a left. Take
a right. We are in the giant stone building on the left.
Signs will be posted. For a map contact the autocrat. Site is
$5 and feast is $15 for adults, for children (12 and under)
site is $4 and feast is $8. For children 5 years and younger
site is free. Please note that non-members need to pay an
additional $4. Cheques should be made to “SCA Myrgan
