Scholars of St Thomas Aquinas invite all gentles of honour and studious condition to attend this worthy gathering in the fair shire of Appledore, within the good Principality of Tir Righ of this glorious Kingdom of An Tir.

Scholars of St Thomas Aquinas is open to all male personas from throughout the known world between 450 and 1650 A.D. Each Candidate will be tested on his ability to create and project an authentic and logical historically based persona in ten of the thirteen categories listed below. Candidates must enter the seven required categories and three of the six optional categories.

5) HANDCRAFT
6) SKILLS/SCHOLARLY PURSUITS
7) COURTESY AND ETIQUETTE

GAMES AND PASTIMES
BARDIC/PERFORMANCE
FOOD
HABITAT
SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES

Anyone may enter individual competitions, but only those previously accepted Candidates have the chance to receive the Scholars of St Thomas Aquinas medallion. In order to do so each Candidate must be successful in all ten of the categories entered.

Inn of Saint George & Saint Gentian’s Table
On Saturday evening, from the dinner hour onward, the Inn of Saint George will be open to all and Saint Gentian’s Table will be providing simple period meals and snacks at modest prices. The Inn of Saint George is considered “enchanted ground” and all participants are requested to remain in persona as best they can. During the early evening, Candidates will have the opportunity to fulfill their Performance and Dance requirements.

University of Ithra
The backdrop for Scholars of St Thomas Aquinas is the Appledore Spring Session of the University of Ithra. Announcements regarding classes and schedules will be made as the date nears. Contact Her Ladyship Olwen Pen Aur, Chancellor, for further information or to volunteer to teach.

Site opens at 4 PM on Friday, June 2, 2006 and closes at 3 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2006. From Saturday morning until medallion presentation on Sunday, Scholars of St Thomas Aquinas Candidates are expected to remain in persona, and will be subject to judging during that time. All other attendees are asked to respect the candidates and do their utmost to enable them to maintain their period personas. The best way to do this is to try and remain in persona yourself!

Site fees: Adults $10.00, Youth (7-17) $8.00, Under 6 free. Family Cap of $28.00. Day Fee: Adults: $7.00, Youth (7-17) $5.00, Under 6 free. Family Cap of $19.00. Note: The $4 NMS will be in effect and is not included in the Family Caps.
