The

Madrone Culinary Guild

Presents

The 34rd Annual

Peasants Revel

Please join us on Sunday July 14th  at David Rogers Park on Queen
Anne hill  in Seattle for a day of laid back fun & silly
games.  No responsibilities, no meetings, no court, no setup,
no packing.  Just mucking about in the grass on a beautiful
day & having great time!

Come join the ancient rivalry between Borton on Water and Sodbury,
our two peasant villages, as they once again compete to show their
worth. The day will be packed with fun outdoor peasant games: Spit
in the Bucket, Cheese rolling, Wet Rag on a Stick, Turnip Toss,
Hopping Tag, and many more!

Wear peasant garb suitable to playing active games (or take part in
the many less strenuous ones) and leave the pretty upper-class
accessories at home.

Bring your blanket to sit on, your cup, bowl and spoon, and a
midday snack.

No site fee, no non-member surcharge. (A simple peasant
stew will be available for dinner around 5ish for a
peasant-accessible fee of $3).

No long commute.  David Rodger’s park is on Queen
Anne Hill in Seattle at 1st Ave W and W. Raye St.  (a block
west of Queen Anne Ave).

It is on the west side of Queen Ann Hill opposite the ship canal by
Fremont and up the hill from Seattle Pacific University.

Setup begins at 11:00 rain or shine; the games commence at
1:00 PM.  Bring your own dishes and something to
drink.

Alcohol is prohibited as the site is a public park!

The best event of the year – don’t miss out – We hope to see
many happy peasants there!
