May Days

Spring is a time of growth, new beginnings, and being able to travel
again on the roads to friends. The populace of Windwyrm would welcome one
and all to enjoy the new season with us for our annual May Day
Celebration.

Who among the assembly can succeed in our test of courtly love? Who can
stand and hold the field that day, and thereby win honor for those most
worthy? Who will be the new champion of Windwyrm? Who will be the May Queen?
Find out the answers to all of these questions at our event.

Please join us for an armored tournament to be followed by a grand
melee. There will also be an archery competition, a courtly love challenge
(rules and hints will be posted), THUA classes, and a bardic competition.

SITE INFORMATION:

From the East of Fort Macleod, go through Fort MacLeod on HWY 3, turn right
onto Lyndon Road. Proceed until you come to SCA signs. From West, proceed
to Fort MacLeod, go through town, turn left onto Lyndon Road, follow signs
to site. Site is on the fort MacLeod Fish and Game lands (no street
address).

SITE FEE: $10.00 per adult, $5.00 for persons 12 – 17 years, free to
anyone
11 years and under. Day fees are $5.00 per adult, youths $3.00. NMS fees
are in effect. Please make cheques payable to WSCA. Gates open 12 noon,
Friday, closes 3:00 pm Sunday.
