Kingdom of An Tir May Crown Tournament
hosted by Shire of Corvaria Crooked River Park/Les Schwab
Fields S. Main Street, Prineville, Oregon All are invited to
journey to the eastern slopes of the majestic mountains to
partake of the glory and goodness of our fair Kingdom. We
gather to witness a tournament, the victors to take the
Thrones of An Tir. Come, celebrate the New Year and our new
Crown Prince and Princess. The site is a large, grassy sports
facility and city park combined. There are very few trees to
offer protection from the elements. Be prepared for high
elevation weather — which could be warm sunshine or late
spring rain during the day and undoubtedly chilly nights. The
Crooked River runs along one edge and a major road runs along
the other, so keep a watchful eye. Above ground fires/flames
are allowed. Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. The
site is discreetly wet. Potable water from municipal system
is available. Information about alternate “overnighting”
facilities is available on the website. There will be public
folks among us during the day Saturday as a Society event
this large is very unusual in this area of the Kingdom. There
is minimal parking within the park and restricted one-way
traffic during the event — please unload and move your
vehicle to the parking area directly across Main Street.

LAUREL COMMENT You are invited to bring your best work, your
problem work and your incomplete work for Laurels and the
Populace to comment on. No winners, no prizes, just feedback
and tokens from the Laurels for notable work. This is an
ideal way to get your feet wet in Arts and Sciences. Please
bring your projects, a chair, and a cup for tea. Small tables
may also be a good thing to bring, depending on how fast the
available tables are taken up. Saturday, 11 am to 1 pm, at
the Games Pavilion on the Eric. Setup at 10:30 am. LAUREL
TRADE SHOW Have you ever wondered what Laurels do, when
they’re not judging contests, teaching classes, or having
meetings? Which arts and sciences they practice, and how to
find out who might be doing the same craft you’re interested
in? Have you ever participated in an Artisans’ Forum or Phred
and wondered how the Laurels would like answering the
questions that they ask you? Wonder no more. On Saturday,
after the Processional (approx 1-3 pm), at the Games Pavilion
on the eric, volunteer Laurels will display their recent
work, answer questions, and chat with the populace. Tokens
available for those who don’t have any to give out.
