Madrone Baronial A&S/Bardic Championships November 6,
2004 Come one, come all to witness the selection of Madrone’s
new Arts and Sciences and Bardic Champions! Join Baron
Ragnarr and Baroness Bergdis in viewing the contests to
select their newest Champions! For information on the Arts
& Sciences contest, please contact HL Constance Davies at
tandb@drizzle.com. For information on the Bardic contest,
please contact Mistress Cymbric of the Isles at
cymbric@yahoo.com or 206-933-8681. In addition to the
Champions contests, here will be classes, including “Survey
of Medieval Guitar” taught by Master Leith, First Kingdom
Bardic Champion on An Tir; displays and activities scheduled
throughout the day (more details to come), concluding with a
lovely “Speculative Norse Dinner”, prepared by our own
magnificent Madrone Culinary Guild. The tentative menu for
the meal is: Roasted Beef with Honey Mustard Sauce &
Roasted Vegetables Fresh Pea & Barley Pottage Poached
Salmon Dried-Fruit Custard Tarts Home-grown Applesauce Mock
Mead Vegetarian alternatives will be provided for those who
let us know in advance – preferably with your dinner
reservations. If you are signing up for the dinner, you will
want to include a bowl and a cup in your feast gear for the
meal. Dinner is by reservation only and there is *limited*
seating available, so you’ll want to get your checks in
early. Prepayment is required for reservations. Please make

Church, 7525 132nd Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98033. Site opens at
10am on Saturday November 6th and closes at 10pm. Site fee is
$7/members & $10/nonmembers. The dinner is an additional
$7 (for all ages) and pre-registration is required for the
dinner only. This is a very DRY site. *Updated* Directions to
Site: >From I-405 North or South, take exit #18 (NE 85th
St/Redmond Hwy 908) and head East toward Redmond. After
approximately 0.8 miles, turn right (South) onto 132nd Ave
NE. The church is 0.5 miles from the turn, near the top of
the hill, on the right side of the street.
