Welcome, Cousins, to the Annual Challenge for the Right to be called Lord Defender of Blatha an Oir!!

Everyone is Welcome to participate in their chosen activity, be it combat, arts, competitions or Recreating the Middle Ages in the Finest Campground in Fair An Tir. The growth of SCA and the encroachment of mundania causes us to move many events to larger sites: Lord Defender’s Tourney is one of the few still held in the Place many of us call home. So join us for 3 days of sheer enjoyment and the best of company in the safe environs of Riverglen. Look in future copy for activities, contests and “stuff” of interest!! Each finalist must be able to swear an oath of fealty to the Barony of Blatha an Oir

Site Fee: $10 adults, $5 children to age 17 (members) NonMembers add $3 per adult Fee. Make checks payable to Barony of BAO, SCA, Inc. Gate Opens: 10 am Friday, Closes 4 pm Sunday

There will be no smoking anywhere near Merchant’s Row or the War Field, only in private encampments.
There is a fast flowing river nearby; children must be supervised at all times. Pets must be leashed and scooped. Site water is safe, drinkable and easily available.



Site Info: Riverglen Campground Orting, WA DIRECTIONS: From the North, take Hwy 167 south to Hwy 410, from there to the Orting exit. Turn Right onto Hwy 162 toward Orting, appx 6 miles to Riverglen. Entrance is a dirt road on the right. If you cross the stone bridge over the river, you’ve gone too far!! From the South: Hwy I-5 to Hwy 512 toward Puyallup. 512 till it ends on Hwy 167, north to Hwy 410 & follow above directions.
