“Storming Fell Castle”
Is the underlying theme to this FOUR day long event. The focus of this event is that of an army in the field that is laying siege to a Castle, with emphasis on pageantry, spectacle, and color. Featuring an event design that utilizes the “Lady’s Gallery” concept as used at 2005 L & S that will allow easy viewing of the war, archery and tournament combats including rapier.
And Lots of Banners!
The site has multiple “streets”! Easy to decorate! Perhaps hard to defend!

FRIDAY THE 25TH OF AUGUST!!!! A “BOX TOURNAMENT” FOR COMBAT ARCHERS WILL FOLLOW THE WAR.

A Four Day Event for the same price as a Three Day event!

“THE BARONY OF TERRA POMARIA DEFENDER’S TOURNAMENT”
Will be held with the emphasis on pageantry and color. The tournament will start early on Saturday morning and will not be delayed, as there will be no Helm Auction and Melee this year to delay the fighting.

“THE BARONY OF TERRA POMARIA ARCHERY CHAMPION TOURNAMENT”
To be run as it was last year, designed and laid out similarly. Emphasis will be on spectator involvement thru a presenter describing the action and recounting scores for the viewing public.

Tournament description: (Updated 6/05/06)
Royal Round: The competition will follow the rules of the An Tir
Royal Round. A Royal Round consists of six arrows shot from each of
40, 30 and 20 yards with a 30 second timed end at 20 yards. All
archers will shoot at the same time.

String Shoot: Each shooter will be given a 10 ft. piece of string and
a length of string is removed after each round. The last shooter with
string is the winner. All archers will shoot at the same time.

An Tir Skeet Shoot: Archers will shoot combat arrows at armored
fighters. Archers may choose to shoot from 20 yards, 30 yards, or 40
yards. At 20 yards, limbs will score 1 point, body and helm 2 points
and special targets mounted on the helms of the fighters will score 3
points. At 30 yards, these points will be multiplied by 2, and at 40
yards, by 3. Archers will shoot 12 arrows each.

Points will be awarded based on the archers finishing place for each
competition: 20 points for 1st, 19 points for 2nd, etc. Highest
overall score will be the new Archery Champion.

Bring your purses; there be merchants in Camp!

“Rapier Tournament”
Will be held on Saturday morning on the Eric. Come compete for wonderful prizes and to keep your skills honed. Rapier update as of 7-25-06:
Tournament style to be: “London Masters”, round robin.

“Highland Games” for the “smalls”
Siege cooking; “Stewpot Fowl”, with mystery ingredient.
Siege Camp design – emphasis on color, design, daytime presentation, and nighttime presentation.
Pet Garb Contest – “ Animal Armor”, what the well-dressed war animal wears into combat!

“Constable class” Update Aug. 5th 2006 – CONFIRMED!! Saturday the 26th at 2:00pm, bring a copy of the “Kingdom of Antir’s Constable Handbook

“Bardic”

* ***** Fire Dancers of “FIRE AND STEEL”! ***** * This may be the only SCA sanctioned event on this year’s tour for the troupe!!!!!

“Best Garbed Pet Competition” is becoming a hit and this year features “Armor”. Suit up your pet for war and proudly display that bold armor for most excellent prizes.
Have fun competing in the cooking contest, which this year is “Stewpot Fowl”! What does an army on the march eat? How is it to be cooked? Where did they get the fowl? Bring your choice of fowl, not foul, and add our mystery ingredient to make a “First Place” meal! Prizes will be awarded!
The “Siege Camp Design” contest pits House against House, noble against noble. Who’s camp is the easiest to defend? Who’s camp looks the most resplendent with banners waving proudly and shields displayed? Prizes of fine booty will be awarded to those judged having the best Siege Camp.

Banners! Processions! Laughter!

For the “smalls” this year, we are putting together a; “Scottish Highland Games” competition! Open to all children, with age bracketing to keep things fair, it will feature separate competitions between girls and boys in multiple categories with the prizes to be presented in Court to the overall winners of each category.

“Village Square” event set-up design. Merchants will be encompassing the Eric, within the view of all events. Even the archery range is easily visible from Merchant’s Row at this site so as the fighting and competitions go on, you will be surrounded by all of the spectators, not just some! Easy drive up access as well. Site cap is 25 merchants; register early to guarantee a space.

Site Merchant fee will be $5.00. Regular Gate entry fees will also apply as well as applicable Non Member Surcharges. Entry to the site will be at 9:00am on Thursday morning, (8/24/06). All merchants can pre-register with the “Merchantocrat” and pay their merchant fee in advance but they are not required to do so. We would like to urge all interested merchants to consider “pre-regging” as it makes everyone’s life easier and we are proud to announce we have a pre-reg master taking care of this for us; “HL Alaine de’Lacy”. Huzzah to her LadyShip and thank you for coming on board. The pre-registration form is available below with complete instructions for processing.
I would suggest all merchants interested in pre-registering for the event to go to the event website and there you will find, should the fey folk grant us luck, all the forms you could need. We are endeavoring to provide them as I type.

Please help us all to make this an event worthy of song by volunteering. Help is always needed, really appreciated, and represents the very backbone of our Society. We would appreciate volunteers for Gate, Constabulary, and Water Bearing. Please inquire at Gate, with the Autocrat, or at Constable’s Point.
When the event has reached its end, please leave your camping areas cleaner then when you found them. Place all garbage in the dumpster provided. If we impress the park’s staff with our cleanliness and our professionalism, we will guarantee the use of the park for years to come.

Site Info: Lebanon Community Park at Cheadle Lake; US Hwy 20 & Weirich Dr, Lebanon OR. Take I-5 Exit 228 (S of Albany). Turn E on OR Hwy 34 to Lebanon. Approx 8 miles, turn R on Denny School Rd. Denny School Rd becomes S Airport Rd. At 2nd light (Safeway visible), turn R on US Hwy 20. Approx 1.8 miles, turn L on Weirich Dr. Park entrance is on L. SCA signs will be posted.
Site Fees: Make checks payable to: Barony of Terra Pomaria/SCA Inc. 18 years old to adult -SCA member $ 15.00, 12 to 17 years – $ 10.00, 5 to 11 years – $ 5.00 Under 5 is free. Family cap; (includes 2 adults and unlimited children or youth) – $ 35.00. Non-member surcharge will apply ($3.00)
Day trip fees: 17years to adult $ 10.00, 12-17years old – $5.00, 5 to 11 years – $5.00 and under 5 are free.

Pets: All pets must be kept on a leash at all times (maximum 6′ long) and be under your physical control at all times. Clean up pet wastes and dispose of wastes into the garbage.

Fires and Open Flame: Subject to Fire Marshall regulations. Fires and open flame must be 12″ or more above ground and may not be left unattended. Unattended fires will be extinguished when found. A bucket of water or a fire extinguisher must be at hand.

Public Presence: we will occasionally have “moderns” walking thru the site so please treat them with courtesy and kindness. We share this and other parks with them and should endeavor to astound them with our kind, gentle ways so as to ensure continued use of the park in the future should we desire to use it.

Unloading: Vehicles will be allowed on the grass to UNLOAD / LOAD ONLY! Please move your vehicle to the parking area before setting up your encampment.

Parking: Please unload your vehicle to your site and then move your vehicle, as quickly as possible, to the approved parking area before starting to set up your camp. Overnight, or “long-term” parking onsite is not allowed unless handicapped and by permission from Autocrat only. Royalty and some staff excluded for obvious reasons.
Please be sure to display your “Dragon Pass” on your dashboard, which will be given to you at the Gate when checking in, and paying site fees.
Constables Point/Lost and Found will be clearly marked and is a big, off-yellow, period looking pavilion located along the main event path/road.

Defender’s Tournament:
The Defender’s Tournament will be a “Double Elimination”, featuring the use of
“Knightly Weapons”. The following weapon styles will be used during the Tournament: Mace and Shield, Sword and Shield, Axe, Great Sword. All participants are urged to display their banners, pennants and regalia. There will be a processional!

The Terra Pomaria Archery Tournament will consist of: (updated 6/5/06)
