CHAMPIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
The championships are OPEN TO ALL! This means that anyone from anywhere within Avacal can compete for the championship so long as you hold a valid SCA membership and comply to the other requirements. We also ask that the winners of the championships be present at the following year’s Harvest feast to run their sucessor’s tourney. Additional requirements for each championship are listed below.

The requirements for A&S are:

~Must be a “period” game with documentation to support that.
(by “period” we mean that you can chosse any type of game from any era or place in time, but you must be able to prove within your documentation that the game was played somewhere between 600AD and 1650AD)
~You must also have proof of a valid SCA membership

The heavy requirements are:

~must have proof of valid SCA membership
~must have valid SCA fighter card
~ must provide a letter of intent to compete within the championship tourney
(by “letter of intent” we mean anything that states you intention to fight in the championship tourney. This could be anything artistic, or could also be a vocal announcement prior to the start of the tourney.) I may throw in a prize for the most orriginal and entertaining letter of intent, so those that put a little effort into theirs could be going home with something cool in return

***Those wishing to compete for prize only do not have to supply a letter of intent, or SCA membership to fight. You must still show valid fighter card as per any tournament***

The rapier requirements are:

~must have proof of valid SCA membership
