The populace of Harrows Cross invite the people of Avacal to attend and
compete for the honor of being a champion of Harrows Cross.

Location: Cluny Community hall, there are no street signs in Cluny
(Alberta, Canada). Please follow the bright orange SCA signs.
The only addresses in Cluny are the Legal site description “Lots 6-12,
Plan 855A, Block 13, 21, 12, West of 4”

Directions: Follow the Trans Canada Highway east of Calgary 65 minutes
until the turn off to Cluny, turn right continue until you enter the town .
Hall is on the right at town edge.
Date: May 14-15, 2005
Event fee: $13.00 feast fee (There is no site fee, this is to encourage people to
come to see what the SCA is about)
Lunch will be available on site for a fee of $ 3.00
Children under 9 are free and
Children 10-16 pay only $10.00
There will be a door prize awarded to one lucky individual who has
prepaid prior to the event.

Feast:
The theme for this feast will be “Champions”, the feast will consist of
later period dishes.
As per our usual a list of the ingredients in each dish will be posted.
There will be a cash bar on site, due to mundane law no outside alcohol
will be allowed on site.
Lunch will be served from 11 AM till 1 PM, with the feast starting at 6PM.

Crash Space:
There is crash space available at the hall, please contact the autocrat to
make arrangements. There are hotels in Strathmore or Bassano (each are 25
minutes away) please contact the autocrat for a list.

Merchanting
There is limited merchant space available at the hall, the merchant room
will be locked each evening. All merchants should pre-book to ensure space.
There is no merchant fee.

The tournaments

There will be five different champion tourneys:

1) Heavy Champion Tourney will be a round robin style (everyone fights
everyone else).The Heavy Tourney is at 12:30 PM (lists close at noon). All
fighters must have a valid authorization with them.

2) Rapier Champion Tourney will be a round robin style (everyone fights
everyone else).The Heavy Tourney is at 10:00 AM (lists close at 9:30 AM).
All fighters must have a valid authorization with them.

3) Archery Tounrey will be in 3 parts; range, speed and skill shoot. The
Archery lists closes at noon, but people will be assigned a time for each
shoot. Shoots will begin at 11AM and close at 3 PM (preference for later
shooting times will be given to people competing in other tourneys)

4) Bardic Tourney, the lists close at 1PM. Tourney details to follow.

5) Arts and Science Tourney, the lists closes at 1PM. Tourney details to
follow.

Timeline:
8:00 AM – Site opens
9:30 AM – Rapier lists Close
10:00 AM – Rapier Tourney Starts
11:00 AM – Lunch counter opens
Noon – Heavy lists Close as does the Archery list
12:30 PM – Heavy Tourney Starts
1:00 PM – Lunch Counter Closes
1:00 PM – Bardic and A&S lists close.
3:00 PM – Archery Tourney ends.
4:00 PM – A&S Judging Ends. Bar Opens
6:00 PM – Feats Begins
7:00 PM – Bardic Tourney begins.
9:00 PM – Feasts Ends.
9:00 PM – Champions announced.
