Change of Autocrat notice: HL Arnora Grimsdottir is now the autocrat for G.O. IV

Once again the call goes out far and wide to help guard our ferry crossings and keep the honor of our sheep against our dreaded foes from Dregate.

The Sable Lion Thrones travel to Grimwith as their Majesties Cedric and Elizabeth join our Royal Patron’s Duke Gunnar Brunwolf and Duchess Gabriell MacBain and the populace of Grimwithshire as we welcome one and all to celebrate one year of full branch status by soundly thrashing our friends from across the mighty An Tir River!

Our War Steward Sir Guy Grimsson has many intriguing fighting scenarios planned to confound our enemy and once again this is sure to be a great day of epic battles.

Duke Gunnarr Brunwulf’s The Nine Trials will once again be held with events including caber toss and spear throwing. These trials are a very popular part of the fun and are open to all offering something for everyone!

Enjoy the gentler pursuits as reigning Arts and Sciences Champion Companion Oso presides over the “Arts of War and Science of Peace” A&S competition. There will also be the ever-popular “Mead and Cordials” competition and a “Best Period Encampment” contest.

Merchants are welcome with no merchant fee and will enjoy a lovely paved merchant’s row. There are many green grassy areas to camp with lots of shade at this wonderful lake setting. Please let me know in advance if your set-up is very large so I can best place you.

There is a public swimming beach close by,

Locust Grove is a U.S. Park Service Historical site and as such no ground fires are allowed.

No metal detectors, either (they made me say that)

Above ground braziers are OK, but no ash or coals are to be dumped in the park.

We have two large group firepits we are allowed to use and which will be for bardic and socializing in the evenings.

Potable water is on site.

Site is discreetly wet, pets are allowed (on a leash as always)
