Frostbite                                                            
Shire of Southmarch

As the summer sun sets and we look to the warmth of the hearth,
Southmarch invites all gentles to Frostbite camp in.  The
WEEKEND of feasting and merriment will host the defender and prize
tourney as well as the archery tournament, several A n S classes, a
bardic tournament and dancing. 

 

The Highlight of the event will be the feasting, and more
feasting as we have our first cook off competition.  In the
good heartedness of the rivalry between the Teutonic Knights and
the Knight Templars, we are looking for four “captains”(chefs) from
An Tir and four “Captains”(chefs) from the West Kingdom, to spear
head teams of 2 – 4 gentles who will cook one meal for the
populous.  Those teams will fashion a meal that would have
been found on the first pilgrimage of the Crusades 1096 –
1099.  So those good gentles that desire to exhibit their
culinary skills and leadership please contact Viscount Keith the
Wanderer by October 10, 2014.  Those gentles desiring to be a
part of a cooking crew may also contact Viscount Keith to be placed
on a team.   The winning team will receive a Treasure
Chest of Goods, and inter kingdom bragging rights for the next
year!

 

Food for the entire weekend is provided, so please contact
Viscount Keith the Wanderer with any food needs.  Meals
include Friday night arrival supper, Saturday Feasting all day, and
a hearty safe travels Sunday breakfast.

The indoor camping facilities will be in a sleeping hall. 
Please bring your air mattresses or cots for more comfort. 
There will be outdoor activities and we remind you to bring your
wool.   Mittens are nice for the smalls if they play on
the playground equipment. There are near by accommodations for
those who desire.

 

Pre-registration for the event is kindly appreciated and ends
Nov 1, 2014  Pre-reg information can be found on the Frostbite
website.

 

Site opens at 4 PM Friday and closes at 11 AM Sunday.

 

Site Fee for the Weekend, which includes all meals,
is:

 

Adults  $ 30 pre-reg  $40 at the
door    (+$5 NMS if applicable)

Youth 11 – 17  $ 10  

Children under 11 free
