UPDATE:

    Opening court is scheduled for noon, with fighting to follow.

    The swimming pool at Franklin Park is reserved for us from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, so bring your swimming/bathing gear.

    There is an Albertsons and a Safeway nearby if you need to do any shopping for the potluck.  The barony will provide a ham.

The Barony of Vulcanfeldt invites you to join us for our public demo at the Yakima Folklife Festival July 12-13.  Their Majesties Cedric and Elizabeth will grace our medieval village as they join us to witness the final court of Their Excellencies Baron Sir Rolf and Baroness Ashley Longbow and to elevate the incoming Baron and Baroness.  Bring your arts and science projects to display your skills, bring your weapons to display your fighting prowess, bring your inspiration and honor to display your chivalry.  There will be heavy and rapier fighting both days including a heavy tournament Saturday, a rapier tournament and pas d’ armes on Sunday.  Challenges shall be made and answered as fighters vie for the favor of the gallery, and the admiration of the populace.  The site is Franklin Park, a public venue, and therefore a dry site.  There is no gate fee for this event, site opens at 10:00 am Saturday, heavy tournament will begin after court, around noon, (or there abouts).  We will lock the gates to the public at 6:00 pm and the pot luck will begin at 7pm sharp-ish.  Quiet hours 10:00 pm Saturday to 7:am Sunday.   Sunday the site opens to the public at 11:00 am rapier tournament at noon, (or there abouts), pas d’ armes to follow, site closes at 5:00 pm Sunday.
