It is time to shake off the snow of winter and join with
friends for a day of revelry and feasting.  Please join
the Canton of Silverhart on February 21, 2009 for our annual
winter feast – Fimbulvinter!  The theme of the day
will be “Feast of Fools!”  In keeping with
this tradition there will be a Lord and Lady of Misrule
declared.  Enjoy a day turned upside down! 

There will be fighting available for those hearty souls who
wish to brave the weather.  Armor inspection will be at
11 AM with fighting to follow as soon as inspections are
done.  There will also be an arts & science
competitions.  There will be an entry for youths under
the age of 16, one for adults and a separate entry for
culinary skills open to all ages.  There will be dancing
to start at 3:30 PM.  Court will follow dancing and we
will wrap up the event with a feast after court. 

The hall opens at 10 AM and closes at 9 PM.  The feast
will be a potluck. In order that the canton can provide
enough meat, please contact the autocrat to reserve you seats
for the feast. Please bring a dish according to the first
letter of you last name.  If your last name begins
with:
A-H   Vegetable or Side Dish
J-P     Appetizer
Q-Z   Dessert

The site fee will be $11 for ages 16 and up, $5 for children
aged 6-16.  Five and under are free.  SCA adult
members showing their current membership card or copy of the
Crier will receive a $3 discount.  Please make checks
payable to SCA Inc, Canton of Silverhart.
