The Shire of
Dregate invites you to the Festival of the Red Lanterns,
celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Sheep. Activities will
begin with A&S classes and story-telling on Saturday afternoon,
followed by an Asian-themed potluck feast at 5:30 pm. At the end of
the evening, the Lucky Dragon will cavort to the delight of
all.

Contact the
Event Steward, Lord Kit (Kit Arbuckle, karbuckle@gmail.com,
509-826-2409), for a detailed schedule of classes. For the feast,
Dregate will provide the main dish, prepared by expert chef HL
Dalbach MacDara. As your potluck contribution, please bring a side
dish or dessert. If you would like ideas for something to make that
would fit the Eastern theme, please contact the feast coordinator,
HL Dubheasa Cumbuel (triskele@myself.com). She will have a variety
of recipes that you can select from.

9:00 am and closes at 10:00 pm.

 

Fees: Adults
(18 or older) $10 (NMS applies), youths and children free. Make
checks payable to “SCA, Inc. – Shire of Dregate”. To
help with planning, please let the Event Steward know (preferably
by Feb. 15) how many to expect in your party, but hold your payment
until you register at gate.

 

Hotel
Accommodations along US 97: Omak Inn (509-826-3822), Best Western
Peppertree (Omak, 509-422-2088), Okanogan Inn (509-422-6431), Red
Apple Inn (Tonasket, 509-486-2119). Also, some crash space is
available by prior arrangement with the Event Steward.
