Greetings Bards of AnTir!

Please join us August 25th and 26th at the Riverglenn Campgrounds in
Orting, WA as South Sound Unity Tourney Hosts Ermine Cross Bardic.

The competition will be held in two parts: The Judged Competition will be
Saturday morning and the Bardic Tourney Saturday night. Prizes will be
awarded for Judges’ Choice, Bards’ Choice, Peoples’ Choice, and Best New
Bard, plus First Place, Second Place, Chivalry, and Best Death prizes in
the Bardic Tournament. Prizes will also be awarded for the individual
categories of the judged competition. The bard with the highest overall
score for the weekend will be named Bard of the Ermine Cross.

Categories for the Judged Competition will include Story, Poetry, Drama,
Music – Vocal, Music – Instrumental, Dance and other Physical Arts
(Juggling, Acrobatics, etc.) Each category is sub-divided by style (period
or not), composition (original work or not), and number of performers
(solo, duo, more).

The first round of the Bardic Tournament will be the traditional “Queen’s
Challenge.” Her Majesty Mahliqa has chosen the topic “Lust and Chastity”.
The topics for the following rounds will be selected at random from the
following list: Chivalry, Mythology, Beasts and Birds, Travel, Home and
Hearth, Royalty, Drinking, Treasure, Death, the other 6 Deadly Sins
(Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride – any one or more), and the 7
Virtues (Faith, Hope, Charity, Prudence, Justice, Temperance and Fortitude
– any one or more).

Bards are encouraged to pre-register. For complete rules and details, or
