Emprise of the Black Lion XIV – Barony of Madrone

September 19-20 2015, Kent, WA

“Let all people of An Tir, and of all the known kingdoms, who are
not banished or enemies of the King our lord, know that there will
be a great festival of arms and a very noble tourney, both mounted,
on foot and of archery, with crests, banners and horses covered
with the arms of the noble tourneyers, as is the ancient custom,
hosted by the very noble and very powerful Barony of Madrone.”

Complete your tournament season in style at An Tir’s grandest event
for equestrian pageantry and historically
inspired tournaments.  On Saturday the
19^th there will be three parallel tournaments
(equestrian, archery, and armored combat on foot) all inspired by
the 1460 treatise of René of Anjou, overseen by four noble
judges.

Fees: Adults $10. Youth (8-15) $5. Children (under 8) free. 
$5 NMS applies.  Make checks payable to “Barony of
Madrone, SCA Inc”.  10’x12′ stalls are available for
horses for $30 per day with bedding included in the price. Please
pre-register through the website to secure a stall.  Some
meals will be available on site for a modest fee, see website for
details. 

Site: Reber Ranch, 28606 132nd Ave SE , Kent, WA.  Open 2p.m.
Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday.  NO CAMPING, RV by arrangement
only.

Directions: From Highway 18, either direction — take SE 304th
street exit.  Turn right on SE 304th.  Turn right on
132nd Ave SE.  

From Highway 167 southbound — take 84th / Central exit.  Turn
left onto Central Ave N.  Turn left at E Smith St /
WA-516.  Bear right as WA-516 becomes SE Kent Kangley
Rd.  Turn right at 132nd Ave SE.
