As some of you have heard, there is a conflict for the date of the Emprise of the Black Lion. Kingdom Bardic Competition is taking place in Lion’s Gate on the same day. Due to the fact this Kingdom Level event rests on the boundary of our region, the Crown feels that this is close enough to impact Kingdom Bardic’s attendance.

Several other options were looked into; none of them proved to be a viable resolution to the problem. In the best interest of our branch, our relations with our neighbors, and our investment of time; I asked the Crown for a definitive answer to our problem.

I spoke with the new Crown at July Coronation.

The Crown has directed the Shire of Wyewood to cancel Emprise of the Black Lion and to not have an event in conflict with Kingdom Bardic. The Crown was very apologetic for having to do so. The Crown finds no fault in Wyewood’s event, it’s autocrat, or it’s behavior. This is solely an issue with a date conflict.
