Dragon’s Laire Baronial Summer Social
August 3rd, 2002

Please come and join the rest of the family of Dragon’s Laire as we celebrate summer with our second annual Baronial picnic. Activities at this time include archery (a York round if we can make it fit), fight practice, music (the bardic mistress should be in attendance), a little dancing, and just hanging out with good friends at a nice location. No timeline will be presented simply because we want this to be a day of fun, rest and relaxation. Bring projects to work on and to share with friends or simply plan to wander around through the forest and countryside and admire the scenery.

Towards the close of the day, a potluck dinner will take place. As was done last year, Petr and Kierran of the Catspawz Inn will provide a generous spread of food that will be augmented with pot-luck contributions from the populace. Plan on bringing side dishes, desserts and beverages of your own choice. The site will be considered discretely wet. The Lady Brighid and THL Eileen have newcomers classes planned as well. Please talk to them for details. The site fee will be $6. This pays for both the site and the potluck dinner. Children under 6 will be no charge. We plan on opening up around 8:30AM and closing the site down around 9PM.

DIRECTIONS TO THE NEW LOCATION: WE WILL BE HOLDING OUR PICNIC AT THE HOME OF OUR SENESCHAL, SIGNORE GIOVANNI DE LA ROSE. HE LIVES AT 3670 ANTHONY DR. SE; OLALLA. ON HIGHWAY 16, TAKE THE BURLEY-OLALLA EXIT GOING EAST (TOWARDS OLALLA, THIS IS THE INTERSECTION WITHOUT AN OVER/UNDER PASS). APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE ON BURLEY-OLALLA, LOOK FOR CARRIAGE PL. TAKE A LEFT ONTO CARRIAGE. APPROXIMATELY ¾ TO ONE MILE ON CARRIAGE, LOOK FOR ANTHONY DR. AND TAKE A RIGHT ONTO ANTHONY. A FEW HUNDRED FEET ON ANTHONY LOOK FOR THE MAILBOX WITH 3670 (WALTERS) AND TAKE THE RIGHT ONTO THE DIRT ROAD NEXT TO THE MAILBOX. FOLLOW THE DIRT ROAD INTO THE DRIVEWAY. PARKING WILL BE SOMEWHAT LIMITED, PARK CLOSE TOGETHER. CONSIDER ALSO PARKING OUT ON ANTHONY DR.
