Once again, war cries fill the mountains around the Barony of Wealdsmere, and the Celts are preparing for war. Come help the innocents defend their homes or help the Celts retake their ancestrial lands.
Already we have heard tales of their raids upon our neighbors as they push ever closer to our prosperous Barony intent on thieving, war, and of course plunder. Join us as we prepare to defend our land from those nasty little Celts.
This year, in addition to various battle scenerios for the heavy fighters, there will be a Last Man Standing Tourney after the war as well as a Valhalla Tourney Sunday morning. There will be a Rapier tourney for those interested as well as a Throwing weapons contest, there will be archery as well.
For non – combantants, there will be a number of activities. Such as find a sheep, the Big Hair contest, bardic and an A&S display.

This year is also special for us as it is our 10 year anniversary as a Barony so come and help us celebrate this most excellent achievement!!!!!

Arts & Science Activities at Celtic Revolt

Saturday

noon-4 pm Open Arts & Science Display
Calling all artisans! Bring your work and any documentation you have
and display your work. This is not a contest, but a sharing and showing of your talents and skills. Come and show off what you’ve been working on.

1 pm – 2 pm Seige cooking ingredient pickup
Do you like to cook? Would you like to try to see what you could
prepare if you were caught in a seige and food stuffs were running low?
You will be given a bag of ingredients and from these items, make as
many dishes as you like, using just the ingredients in your packet. All
competitors will get the same ingredients. Contestants will have until
Sunday afternoon at 2 pm to brainstorm and prepare their dishes. Prizes
will be awarded for Best overall entry, best presentation, most dishes,
most humorous entry.

3 pm – 4 pm Big Hair Contest
We all know the Celts were into “expressive” hair styles! This contest will
challenge entrants to tease, spray, toss, comb, etc their hair into as big a creation as possible. There will be two categories – adult and youth. The
winners will be judged on creativity, style, and size!

Sunday

2 pm – 3 pm Seige cooking contest judging
Bring your dishes for the final judging. All are welcome to watch our
fearless judges dig into the dishes and make their decisions.

3 pm – 4 pm Sheep Fair
This contest will be run just like a county fair sheep judging, with the
exception that you don’t have to have a living, breathing sheep! Use
your vivid imagination and create a sheep from any medium and bring
it to be judged. There will be two categories – adult and youth.
