Baron’s Ball and Tournament

This year Baron Styrkarr and Baroness Stjarna are pleased to
welcome King Cedric and all heavy fighters and rapier
fighters to the best annual fighting event in the Kingdom
(scientific fact)!  In honor of the
30th year of our great Barony we are proud to
offer the fighting tournament and event conceived by Baron
Dyon so many years ago as well as feasting and dancing and a
great deal of general
merrymaking. 



 


Activities: 


Feast: 
Hosted feast Saturday night, all food for the feast provided
by the Barony of Wastekeep and prepared by out excellent
chefs.  Site is
discretely wet.


Dancing: 
By popular demand and insistence of the
Baroness.  Well, it says Baron’s
“Ball”, right?


Heavy
Fighting:

 
Holmgang tournament on Friday
night.  The main tournament, in grand
Norman style, will be conducted as a team melee divided in to
four quarters of different scenarios:  Open
field, Castle, Woods, and Cliff battles. 
By convention you may only fight with a long weapon in one
quarter.  In all other quarters your weapon
must be shorter than the Baron’s boarspear
(7’4”). 
Prize:  World famous custom rawhide-wrapped
Styrkarr-sword with basket hilt.


Rapier
Fighting:
 
Glowstick tournament Friday night, Rose Tournament on Sunday
morning.
